Developer Contributions Supplementary Planning Document (SPD)

When larger new developments come forward, they often need to be supported by additional investment in community infrastructure such as roads, schools and open spaces.

Our developer contributions SPD explains the different types of contribution that can be sought and the type of improvements we will normally look for such as more school places, routes for walking and cycling, new play areas, improved bus services and so on.  

We consulted on an initial draft version of the SPD in late 2020 and in response to the comments made we have produced a revised version for consultation which is intended to be easier to read and understand and also clearer in terms of the contributions likely to be sought.

The SPD is aimed at a broad audience including developers and landowners, Town and Parish Councils and other organisations as well as general members of the public.

The consultation on the revised draft SPD is ran for 4-weeks from 17 October to 14 November 2022.
